Wilma Smith – guest concertmaster

Wilma Smith is the former well-loved Concertmaster of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. She has generously appeared as Guest Concertmaster with Zelman Symphony for our Mahler 8 concert in 13 and our Babi Yar concert in 2017. In doing so, she followed in the footsteps of the legendary long term leader of the MSO, Bertha Jorgensen, who frequently played as Concertmaster of both the MSO and the Zelman Memorial Symphony Orchestra.

We welcome Wilma as Guest Concertmaster again for our World Premiere No Friend but the Mountains: A symphonic Song Cycle concert on 21 March 2021.
