Anna Dorothea Mutterer

Anna Dorothea Mutterer has won numerous competitions at national and international level, including the International Mozart Competition in Berlin, the Concours International de Violon in Cambrai (France), the Malta International Music Competition, the Melbourne International Violin Competition in Australia, and the IBLA Grand Prize in Sicily.

Her First Prize at the New York CAI Competition was awarded with a recital in Carnegie Hall in March 2019, for which she was then given the Outstanding Live Performance Award.

Anna Dorothea's concert activities have taken her throughout Germany and Europe to Mexico, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Praised for her sonorous sound and her individual, heartfelt musicality, she regularly performs as a soloist with orchestra, in solo recitals and in various chamber music settings.

Numerous engagements as a concertmaster complete the violinist's activities.

She has worked with conductors such as Lior Shambadal, Alois Springer, Vitali Alekseenok, Marc Montusi, Jorge Vasquez, Markus Hubert, Anatoli Schura and Osvaldo Ferreira. Her chamber music partners include Philippe Graffin, Alexandra Troussova, Benedikt Kloeckner, Gwylim Janssens, Philippe Tondre and Gary Levinson.

She has performed as soloist and concertmaster with the German Chamber Orchestra, the PrimArte Orchestra Frankfurt, the Santec Music Orchestra, the Thuringia Philharmony, l'Orchestre Philharmonique des Hauts de France, the Wellington Orchestra, the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra Filharmonia di Xalapa and the Narva Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2023, she has also been appointed as concertmaster of the European Sounds of Change Orchestra.

In 2020, Anna Dorothea Mutterer created Duo Befluegelt (Inspired) with pianist Timo Boecking - a crossover project that connects music from all centuries and styles, and combines it with text and poetry.

During Covid-19, Anna Dorothea discovered fitness and martial arts training for herself. Fascinated by the harmony of these movements and in particular by the extremely positive effect they have on one's own physique and psyche, she started an education as a martial arts and fitness coach, visited numerous courses and was also trained as a BodyArt instructor.

In the following years, she developed a concept that focuses on the physical and mental health of musicians and approaches the stresses and strains of professional musicians. To this day, more and more musicians are being convinced by the holistic nature of this concept and integrate "Fit Frequency" into their daily lives.

Besides music, Anna Dorothea's passions are animals, nature, photography, books and sports. She is actively involved in animal and environmental protection and sponsors a child in Cambodia.
